ARCHITECTURE is the creative venture Virgil Abloh founded, and every December it carries his legacy forward at the Abloh Invitational — a day of skateboarding, workshops, and music at Lot 11 Skatepark in Miami during Art Basel week. For the last three years I managed the on-site retail operation, running sales of the limited ARCHITECTURE x Cactus Jack merch, and coordinated the private concert programming that closes out the event, working alongside talent Travis Scott. Proceeds go straight back into free programming for the youth skate community.
Three consecutive years on Virgil Abloh’s annual skateboarding invitational, presented by Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack and held each December in Miami. My work sat at the intersection of retail and talent: I helped manage the pop-up shop on-site — inventory, sell-through, and crowd flow through a capsule collection that sells out in a day while coordinating private concerts around the event’s music lineup. World-renowned skaters, Chase B and Zack Bia, and lots of security.
